Receives and relays telephone reports of gas emergencies and control-panel readings for gas-distribution-control-center of public utility company: Answers telephone reports of gas emergencies, such as leaks and fires, from general public, police, and fire departments, and notifies company personnel responsible for dispatch of service crews and issuance of reports to governmental agencies. Files charts and records of gas pressure, volume, and flow, and posts by category in daily logbook. Calculates statistical data from recorded readings and prepares gas supply-and-demand charts for use by GAS DISPATCHER.
