What does a Fitting Supervisor do?
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in aligning and fitting component parts to assemble fabricated metal products, applying knowledge of product design, layout, strength of materials, and properties of metal: Reads blueprint specifications to determine assembly sequence. Requisitions equipment, such as jigs, base blocks, and rigging, and assigns equipment to workers according to work performed. Trains workers in performance of tasks, such as laying out, fitting, and aligning fabricated metal parts. Performs other duties as described under SUPERVISOR Master Title.
