Grows and harvests more than one kind of crop, such as fruit, grain, vegetable, and specialty crop, applying market condition and agricultural knowledge applicable to kinds of crops raised: Determines kinds and quantities of crops to grow according to market conditions, weather, and farm size and location. Selects and purchases supplies, such as seeds, fertilizers, and farm machinery, and arranges with buyers for sale of crops. Hires and directs activities of farm workers engaged in tilling soil and planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops.
