What does a Client Service Associate do?
Client Service Associates have a special opportunity to provide customer service to a specific set of clients for a particular company. In other words, Client Service Associates are both the points of contact for a company’s clients and reliable assets to everyone in the organization.
As a Client Service Associate, you’re familiar with what’s happening in the office, and by that, we don’t mean just the gossip around the water cooler. Commonly, that office handles mortgages, medical files, legal cases, bank accounts, investments, or insurance packages.
You keep your eyes and ears open during meetings, ask questions, and help update and maintain client files. You also perform a variety of administrative tasks, including answering the phone, filing, formulating emails, and writing letters. In addition, you make sure applications are complete and entered into the computer system, and create files for new clients.
With all this information at your fingertips, it’s no wonder that Managers and other personnel count on you when they need a phone number, a client’s employment history, financial data, or a bagel. And the client relies on you, too. Rather than leaving message after message, patiently waiting to be transferred to someone else, or passing the time while obsessively checking their email, clients get quick answers and are kept updated, thanks to you.
